increased basal cell proliferation.

malaena. Investigations reveal erosions
through out the stomach and a neutrophilic infiltrate in the superficial
mucosa.
3. A 30
year old female complaining of diarhorrea and weight loss. Biopsy of duodenum shows increased
intraepithelial cytotoxic T cells.
4. A 60
year old male complaining of epigastric pain relieved by antacids and
meals. He has a positive CLO test.
5. A 65
year old male with a long history of epigastric pain. Endoscopy reveals 3.2cm of columnar metaplasia in the lower
oesophagus. Goblet cells are seen.
